Controversial businessman Wicknell Chivayo (Sir Wicknell) has gifted a Toyota Aqua to the Zimbabwean Reggae artist Caleb Tareka popularly known as Ras Caleb. This comes after Ras Celeb released a new song titled ‘ZiG Mari’ calling Zimbabweans to love and accept the new currency ‘ZiG’.

Zimbabwe Gold (ZiG) is a new currency which replaced the Zimbabwean dollar. The government introduced ZiG early this month.

Chivayo’s car buying spree started January this year and he has splashed over US$5 million on different types of cars to people who supported President Emmerson Mnangagwa and Zanu PF projects before and after 2023 elections.

Posting on his Facebook page, Sir Wicknell described Ras Caleb as a patriot who has dedicated the ZiG Mari hit as a wonderful song which deserved a gift. Ras Caleb also received US$2000 on top of a Toyota Aqua.

“What a wonderful song this is. Congratulations Ras Caleb, your Toyota Aqua dollars are ready for collection. Madzibaba chipaga will also give you two thousand united states dollars. This level of unmatched patriotism is impressive and can’t be ignored…enjoy your akwaya my brother…zve zanu pf zvino dadisa edelivers…edworks… edhuchi…2030 anenge aripo. (Everthing about Zanu PF is awesome),” Chivhayo shared on Facebook.

The song was recorded at ChillSpot records.

Ras Caleb captured the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe (RBZ)’s desired message in his new song ZIG Mari whose lyrics partly go: “ZiG rine hope so the future is better”

The lyrics which go: ‘1 ZiG, 2 ZiG ndipoo ZiG, idya ZiG (Can I have ZiG, eat ZiG)’ is the trending part of his song amongst the ghetto youths since it was released.

Musicians like Aleck Macheso, Jah Prayzah, Andy Muridzo, Sulumani Chimbetu, DJ Fantan and others.

Sniper Storm and Sir Calaz received their cars after they begged Chivhayo on Facebook.
