Tino Kadewere, Warriors forward has hinted on his retirement from the Zimbabwe National soccer team. The hint suggests that next week’s games against Lesotho and South Africa could be his last in national colours.

This comes after calls by Zimbabweans to bring back former warriors skipper Knowledge Musona and Khama Billiat who retired from the squad.

Posting on his Facebook page story, Kadewere captioned “last dance” and “I don’t wanna die,” he posted.

The France based attacker has endured a lot of criticism from fans and the media over failing to live up to expectations. Kadewere has performed better at club level than on national team games.

He has only scored three goals in his international career far fewer than what was expected of him as professional who plays on one of Europe’s top leagues.

If he were to quit, Tino Kadewere would follow in the footsteps of former Warriors teammates Musona and Billiat, who also turned their backs on the Zimbabwe national team.

The Nantes striker had a tough time at the 2022 Afcon finals in Cameroon where he struggled for from due to injuries, triggering a lot of bashing on social media.

Meanwhile, The Zimbabwe Football Association released the Warriors squad for the upcoming international window and the COSAFA Cup and they are a couple of new face in the team.
